About the Role

Calder Stewart is seeking an experienced Industrial/ Commercial Site Manager to join our team to help deliver large format warehousing and office projects in the Auckland region. Reporting to the Project Manager, overall responsibility for the entire site with several site teams and their respective leaders reporting to you. You must be able to work as part of a team and orchestrate relationships with Calder Stewart team members through to sub-trades and recognise that relationships are key.

We need a strong candidate with technical skills who has worked on larger commercial, and industrial projects - methodology, temporary works, structural steel, precast, and concrete expertise. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established company on career-defining projects. 

Skills and Attributes 

Being an integral member of our Construction team, you will have natural leadership ability and a thorough understanding of NZ commercial construction methods. You are energetic, enjoy working in a team, and won’t be afraid to take ownership of your work. 

Additionally, we will be looking for the following attributes from candidates:

At least 10 years’ experience working on industrial/ commercial construction sites in a Site Manager role

· Appropriate trade qualification 

· Ability to read construction plans and drawings 

· Proficiency in Procore is a bonus 

· Proven ability to lead teams 

· Good communication skills 

· Organisational skills

· Motivated and reliable 

· Ability to work well under pressure
